Built by Meliton H. Cross in 1885, this home is perhaps one of the most beautiful buildings in Matamoros. Its architecture is French colonial and the materials used to build it were brought from New Orleans. It is the only of its kind in northeastern Mexico and tastefully furnished, in addition to several musical instruments and library.
After many years of neglect, it was restored in 1982.
