About Parroquia de la Purísima Concepción (Parish)
Built in 1886, was the first Catholic church in Nogales and, therefore, is now emblematic of the city. When first opened, the building was basically a room with a couple of windows and was rarely visited by a priest.
It was not until late Porfiriato the church suffers its biggest changes when its facade is covered with tufa stone rows pads, a tower is added and its walls rise.
