About Our Lady of Health Basilica

It is undoubtedly the most important church in the city, however it is not in the center. It was built on a pre-Hispanic ceremonial center operating as a cathedral seat until 1580. Its facade is very simple, but still very beautiful and worth visiting. Inside you will see the Virgin of Health, a 16th century statue. As a curious fact: here lie the remains of Don Vasco de Quiroga.
