About Historic Downtown
Framed by the Volcano of Fire, this peaceful town is known as the "White People of America" for its simple white facades. Its Historic Center was declared in 1988 Historic Monuments Zone. Walking between the alleys of the center you can see the Parish of San Miguel, the portals of Comala, the Municipal Presidency and the Main Garden with a statue dedicated to Juan Rulfo.
