At this fair, which boasts over 150 years of tradition, you'll enjoy the creation of the most beautiful works of art with flowers, sawdust, and colored sand. This traditional festival, held year after year in honor of the Virgin of Charity, offers a wide variety of attractions that showcase the cultural, religious, and culinary heritage that has made these lands in the central region of the country famous.
On the Night when no one sleeps, the Virgin of Charity is taken down from her altar in her basilica and taken in procession through the streets of the city, covered with beautiful carpets of sawdust and flowers .
Other activities you'll enjoy include the Carcachas Race, the Flower Parade, the Burladeros Night, and the highly anticipated Huamantlada (when bulls are released to chase the daring runners running through the streets of Huamantla). In addition, music, dancing, fireworks, and rides are present, as is the case with all Mexican festivals.
