Whale Shark of Isla Contoy

This area contains the greatest concentration of Whale Sharks in Mexico, it is a migratory species that are distributed in warm and temperate seas worldwide. In Mexico we see during the months of May to September this species, in the Yucatan Peninsula, between the Isla Contoy, Isla Mujeres and Isla Holbox, also in Baja California, Veracruz and Oaxaca, although in low concentration.
