Archaeological Monuments Zone of Xochicalco

Xochicalco means La Casa de las Flores, which followed the fall of major cities such as Teotihuacan, Monte Alban, Palenque and Tikal; example of fortified urban settlements of Mesoamerica. It is comprised of the Central Plaza, which is the main building because it houses a shrine, the Great Pyramid Malinche, where 20 round altars, Palace and South Ball Game are located.
