First Monasteries of Seventeenth Century of Popocatepetl

The 14 monasteries in the sixteenth century were built by the Augustinians, Franciscans and Dominicans to evangelize the areas south and east of the Popocatépetl; recognized because they served as models for the monasteries and churches of New Spain and high architectural value and historical. Most of them are located in the State of Morelos except for 3 which are located in the State of Puebla and are part of the history of the first evangelization in Mexico.
