Description Prehispanic City and National Park of Palenque

Both places are on a hill, 10 kilometers south of Palenque, examples of a Mayan sanctuary of the classical period. There was at its height between 500 and 700 AD, when its influence extended throughout the basin of the Usumacinta River.
