Historic Downtown of Puebla

Located about 100 miles east of Mexico, at the foot of the volcano Popocatepetl, Puebla was founded in 1531, still retains much Spanish Colonial architecture in their great religious buildings like the Cathedral dating from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, in its magnificent palaces, such as the Archbishop and a large number of houses whose facades look harmonious combination of tiles and bricks with white mortar artistic reliefs, which distinguish national Puebla.
