The Petenes

The Petenes are complex habitats varied vegetation islands that have made ​​this Book unique within Mexican territory, a corridor of coastal wetlands of high ecological value for its remarkable diversity of flora and fauna, it has 473 species of flora, 678 higher plants and 434 species of fauna of which 313 are of birds and 47 species of mammals, 47 species of fish and 21 reptiles. The place has several cenotes and soil characteristic allows the formation of water holes.
