About The Parish Temple

The first church of San Juan del Rio is opposite what is now the Founders Plaza but was then the pantheon, however that little church made of earth was torn down in 1700. The church as we know it now was built between 1710 and 1731 and was the church of the Indians. Its bright color make this place stand out even though its construction is simple.
