About Ex Couvent Santa María de la Asunción

The convent was built in 1531 by the Franciscan order and now you can admire the pink stone carved arches and Gothic style door with ornaments Franciscans. The center has a typical Spanish courtyard with a fountain which was added about 40 years ago.
You can visit it daily as you do not stop thinking that was the first of its kind in Latin America and that there hundreds of monks were formed.
