About Capuchinas Church and Convent

One of the three temples dedicated to the female monacato, which consists of women leading a lifestyle of monks, its construction begins in 1770. Its construction highlights its red stone, tezontle and high walls. When the Reform Laws came into force, the religious women were exclaustrated and in 1886 Don Porfirio Díaz turned it into a Civil Hospital. Now you can visit it and get an idea of the cloister life of the Capuchin religious.
