About Iglesia del Señor del Hospital
In this temple the image of the Black Christ is venerated, which arrived in Salamanca since the 16th century, remaining in the Chico Temple for several centuries. Many years and complications passed before the current temple was completed in 1924, becoming the home of that Christ. The Black Christ is highly revered in the region, including several pilgrims on foot just to see it on Thursday and Good Friday.
