Founded in 1565 by Don Alonso de Angulo y Montesino, it was the large house of this hacienda that saw the birth of Father de la Patria, Don Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla in 1753, since his father served as administrator of the hacienda. In its esplanade there is now a monument dedicated to this historical character and next to the glass factory that produces the distinctive bottles of Corralejo Tequila.
