About Parish of Nuestra Señora de los Dolores
Completed in 1778, it is a typical construction of the Baroque Novohispano of the late eighteenth century. On its facade you can find a sculptural group that represents the Crucifixion of Jesus. But what distinguishes this church and has made it much more than a religious monument, is that it was here that the priest Miguel Hidalgo, who was in charge of it since 1803, gave the cry of independence.
