It seems that this place was the capital of the Olmec-Xicallanca people, which really very little is known but is believed to have settled in the area around the year 400. The place is known for the excellent conservation of its wall paintings, where highlighted colors like red, blue, yellow, black and white, and represent characteristics of the Mayan culture.
