About La Huatapera Handicrafts Museum

Built in 1533 as a hospital not only it worked, but also as a meeting place for the indigenous people of the area. In fact, the meeting place is the meaning of his name in Purepecha. Now it houses the Museum of Indigenous Art and Tradition, divided into four rooms, shows the rich tradition and culture of this town.
In the chapel you will see the mural of the sixteenth century and a different handcrafted piece made each month by the Indians.
