About Cofre de Perote (Volcano)

This extinct volcano is the eighth highest mountain in Mexico. Its name in Nahuatl, Nauhcampatépetl, meaning 'mountain square' and 4.282 meters above sea level, the closer you are to it, you will feel smaller. The place is ideal for picnics, long walks, enjoy the flora and fauna of the area.
You can even camp in the Cofre de Perote National Park but seeks to be prepared because the whole year is very cold.
