The entire Huapalcalco region is considered one of the most important in the pre-Hispanic population since the first Toltecs settled here. This area is located on the western slope of Cerro del Tecolote and has two architectural ensembles. In addition to admiring the pyramids and other archaeological finds, the area has numerous cave paintings that date back approximately 13,000 years.
